NEED:
Style-Republik is a highly academic paper on fashion in Vietnam. To celebrate one year of launching the magazine, Style-Republik reached out to people that have a big impact on the Vietnam fashion industry to conduct interviews and get them photographed in their working environments.
RESPONSE:
Fashion Insider photoshoot is conducted mostly with improvisation. During the interview, I spend that time wandering around the places, finding inspiration. After finding myself confident with the idea, I discussed with the character to making the shoot as natural as possible. After that, we start enjoying the time together with no pressure at all, talking while shooting, and let the photo become the mean of communication. All of the photos are shot with analog film cameras because I believe that moments are there to be taken as is, not to be selected, not to be judged.
