Web design (concept) for The Met

NEED:

During the time we working with FRANK’S on developing their artist’s website template. We came across the idea of making a new homepage design for The Met (for experimental purposes). The new design targets younger audiences with improved UI and interactions that make their experience more joyful and interesting.

RESPONSE:

While researching how the big names in art gallery businesses are doing with their website, I came across The Met homepage and decided to make a redesign to explore new approaches. There are 3 key changes I made in this redesign. First, the UI system is optimized to bring out the brand identity. Second, the structure of the content is adjusted into pillars that make all the info on the page well-organized and easier to access. And the final change is the site's interactions which make the site more joyful to interact with.
